THE SPRING TIME Part 2
Eccl 11
Progress in life is a function of how much you can sacrifice in life.
Eccl 11:5 says “In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand; for thou knowest not whither shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good”.
Jesus in many of His parables, stressed the importance of “THE SPRING TIME” or The rebirth of the mans Soul. “Ye must be born again” He said.
But whereas the mindless” creation, the material manifestations of the life urge, requires the action of forces outside itself, in order to manifest new forms of individual life, man with the Divine Spark of life within him from birth can create his own spring or rebirths.
Yes, we need the spring. It has a greater symbolic value than The Rainbow. “Life is more than food or rainment” (Luke 12:23) It reiterates to man, who in his materialism and pessimism might be in danger of forgetting, that death is imminent. (Remember The Rich fool in Luke 12:16-21).
The very air of Spring is vibrant with a throbbing life in The Holy Spirit. Hope is born again,
Rom 8:25 says “But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance”.
Out of despair, despondency or sadness, we are forced to look up, feeling the call for a new life.
We can always put the past behind and look ahead.
The spring means to man a revelation of that latent Spirit of life, the full resources of which we are yet to tap.
It is the Spring that encourages us to go on and still on- however dark the way, for though souls may shudder in the winter of despair and sufferings; but the Spring and the sunlight revive our flattering courage, our Faith and Hope are renewed, and the latent fires burning within each individual, rekindles and light his way to a glorious rebirth.
“In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it” (Jn 1:4-5).
Beloved, I want you to resolve today that you shall have in your heart, the joy of Eternal Spring. Rejoice in the beauty with which a re-awakening World enchants your senses.
Let us look ahead with a valiant heart, however dark the way. Can we look upon each rebuff as a challenge to greater efforts, every difficulty as one more step towards achievement “for he who observes the wind will not sow and he who regards the cloud will not reap”. (Eccl 11:4).
