GROWING IN THE SPIRIT (Part 5)

Matt 26:36-46 & 2 Cor 12:7-12

THE SECRET PLACE )B)

Before crucifixion, Jesus went to Gethsemane; His secret place to commune with God.

His soul was sore vexed and exceedingly sorrowful even unto death.

Here, for our example, three times He prayed unto The Father for a possible shift of the cup, and there He got the grace to fulfill the will of His Father in heaven.

Beloved, in the silence lieth strength; for our physical ability may be threatened in our times of travails in the secret place.

Apostle Paul in his Epistles in 1 Cor 12: 7-12;made it clear after seeking God’s help to remove his infirmities:, reproaches, necessities, persecutions and distresses for Christ sake.

Thrice he prayed like The Lord, but he heard ‘’My grace is sufficient for thee, for My strength is made perfect in weakness,”. And so in verse 10 he confessed, “for when I am weak, then I am strong”.

To this effect the secret place is The armoury of Gods equipping for our strength renewal for the journey.

How often do we retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life to seek with more detached view upon the struggle, to see clearly the terrain, upon which life’s battle is fought, and to behold the citadel for which we are battling.

(For life is a battle and the weak ones are tired of life)

Have you ever escaped into the Sanctuary withdrawn unto yourself and establish a communion with the All Sufficient God.

Remember Hannah in Shiloh in 1Sam 1:9-18, she separated herself and was alone praying in bitterness of soul, weeping before The Lord God of Israel.

Unless we do; life lacks meaning, purpose, drive and inspirations.

To enter into the silence in the secret place is a rigorous spiritual striving to establish a communion with The Almighty God: with our mind open for a positive act; not a case of relaxing and indulging in scattered or wandering thoughts, or in aimless day dreams.

We must align our mind to be at one-ment training our conscious mind to align with the will and purpose of God.

Only those who have experienced the invigorating revitalizing effect of great contemplation, in Prayers and Mediations can describe the meaning.

Your mind is re-awakened and a fresh strength is born with courage.

The Spiritual sensibilities are at alert to hear the small still voice of The Holy Spirit speaking for our instructions and assistance (John 16:13)

Welcome to your Greatness.
