Can everyone of us reflect on our past, and go back to God because of our Children.
Can we examine some Scriptural references for our knowledge.
Isaac was a good Son of Abraham but he had Esau
that gave Isaac and Rebecca a grief of the mind.(Gen 26:35).
Prophet Eli the Priest of Israel had wicked sons Hophni and Phenias.(1Samuel 2:12)
Samuel was tutored in
the house of Eli to take the place of Prophet Eli.
God was with Samuel and none of his word fell to the ground.(1 Samuel 3:19)
However, the children of Samuel walked not in his ways, but turned aside after lucre and took bribes and perverted judgements.

King Saul started well, but ended badly, however, he had a son called Jonathan who was good to a fault.
In the family of King David were different strokes of Children in relation to the Word of The Lord in 2Samuel 12:10-14 vis a vis
*One who rapped his sister.
*Brother killing brother.
*Absalom took the throne from the father.
*Adonijah wanted to make himself the King, and also wanted to take the father’s wife.
*Yet a good Son in Solomon by Gods election. “I will be his father and he shall be my son and will not take my mercy away from him….”(1Chronices 17:13)
*Solomon loved God in the beginning but his wives took away his heart after other gods and his heart was not perfect with The Lord his God as was the heart of David his father (1Kings 11:4).
