TIME MANAGEMENT Part 2

John 15:1-10

The importance of managed minutes is party realized by the individual who appreciates that the proverbial one hundred and twenty years of life are of little value, unless some of those years are fruitful by the divine spark of the supreme awareness.

Psalm 90:12 say’s “teach us to number our days that we may apply our heart unto wisdom”.

The management of minutes forms an essentials part of business life, with “man-hour” assuming ever greater importance.

We must realize that the wastage today, will be a drag upon tomorrow, and that each passing movement is a tool with which to fashion the future.

The society today is prepared to educate us in every branch of human knowledge, but not willing to impact knowledge on the art of living fully.

Thanks to The Scriptures which opened our minds to ask for the grant according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened by His Spirit in the inner man and that we might be filled with all the fullness of God (Eph 3:16&19).

It is left with the Godly wisdom and knowledge to impact the liberating truth to humanity, that we can preach the good things that man may transmute their days into glory, and convert time itself from the meaningless second into days of abundant living.

We understand that “life is not an obstacle to be negotiated, but a quarry out of which we have to drill, chisel, and mould in complete character. Arising out of this mismanagement of life is another characteristics of our day. Pools betting and gambling.

Many want to get as much as possible out of life with minimum effort. It has became the order of the day. The canker-worm had eaten into the Church in the name of sport betting.

Wastage of resources to the benefit of the betting entrepreneur who rakes in the resources of the indolent.

The Chairman of an American lottery company saith “we do not give out a dime until our company had taken in over a hundred million of dollars at every random”

No one will stop it because the State rakes in resources in form of taxes imposed on this business.

Today in Nigeria, it has become a cancer, eating deep into the people, men and women alike, even the teenagers are not an exception.

The result is making the one involved become degenerate and unhappy and pathetically resigned to his fate, making no effort to change and walking the road to retrogressions.

The society and The Church must work together in changing this negative trend in our society, especially as it affects The Church.
